Scandium Oxide is used for manufacturing scandium metal and other scandium materials. It is also used for manufacturing alloy in the metallurgical industry and emission material of the thermoelectric exchanger. Scandium Oxide is applied in solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC), single substrate of memory storage devices, solid magnetic cooling medium, inhibitor, additive of the samarium-cobalt magnet, x-ray intensifying screen, magnetic cooling medium used in phosphor,neutron-absorbing material in atomic reactor, magnetic bubble material and intensifying screen material. Scandium Oxide is also applied in the optical glass and electronics industry.
